Touge Machine up for Sale!

I am selling my touge machine:

An opportunity has come up for me to own something I have always wanted, hence my reluctant sale. This car is flawless and balanced, just buy and drive. Nothing to repair.

There are two ways we can do this:

Whole
1) Buy the whole car, take the whole thing and pay me RM10,000.
(For international readers, as of the time of writing, U$1 = RM3.12)

Part
2) If nobody is buying the whole car, I will take these out to sell individually:

  • Twin Weber DCOE 40s, with manifold for 5K engine, RM1500.
  • Bride full bucket seat, Rm900.
  • AE86 passenger seat, RM200.
  • Schroth harness, RM150.
  • Sabelt harness, RM150.
  • 5Zigen Pro-racer exhaust muffler, RM400.
  • Blue banana rims 14 inch, pcd 114.3, RM1000.
  • Cusco GT wing RM200.
  • Car with built 5K engine with internal mods, lightened flywheel, full AE86 suspension (soft/hard adjustable in front), custom metal bodykit, half cage, with full service history, for RM6600.
Call me at 016 50 666 00. Thank you!

Must say I'm a fair bit saddened to see this. That car and its driver have become something of a trusted companion in my recent internet travels. I just can't imagine you in another car.

Best of luck though.

Haiz... Bro, so sad to hear that. I shall miss the striped white paint going down the long straight with the 4-throttle setup blaring wildly.

You'd better get a more garang car ya :P

See you in Pg soon!

Guys,
Thank you very much for your support.

Don't get me wrong, I love this car, the throttle response with the Weber DCOEs is orgasmic, the handling is superb. Gosh, I learned how to drift in this car, suffice it to say that it has given me fond memories :)

However, I believe I have exceeded the capabilities of the car. In order to get to the next stage, the car has to undergo significant modifications, which costs a lot of money.

Rather than letting my previous mods go, I highly recommend this car to any beginner. I'd rather take the money from the sale, and switch to another platform, to build another lean mean machine.

Alas, my heart hurts even as I write this, but I have unlimited wants and limited cash :(

C'est la vie...

Russ,
My next car will be something with a really snappy rear-end ;)!

Is it going to be the E28?.
Why don't you get a newer model the E30, i think can drift well too.
Anyway happy modding and upgrade, remember to post updates.

Hm, a Miata?

Touge King said...

Vince,
The E28 will be put aside first. Can't be modding too many cars at once :)

Leong Soon,
More snappy than the Miata ;)

Dear TK,

We have been reading your blog since its inception, we are not sure if you are aware, but you have a following in the USA.

We would like to sponsor your car. To buyers interested in TK's touge machine, please give us a chance, to let TK keep his car, and we will sponsor his next car. I am sure we all want to see more touge videos from TK!

TK, we have emailed details to your gmail account. We hope your car is still with you, we would like you to continue doing what you are doing, and to have our stickers all over your car.

Yours faithfully,
Gene.

Email replied. Thank you.

Farid,
How's life in KL? When are we gonna see an update on your blog :P ?

EJ and Vince,
I had a black SW20 for about 3 years. Not a big fan of MR layout. FR all the way for me.

Zoggee,
Thanks for your support.

Gene has offered me a unique opportunity. Will call you :)

Wow, this is good news TK... you have a following in the USA.

Gene if you're reading this, TK is a very smart dude in real life, super high qualifications & a down to earth humble guy. Your sponsorship will be well worth it should he choose to accept your offer.

im sorry to hear that you are selling the te72 :( i am a big fan of yours. i drive a te72 corolla over here in the states and they are great cars. I am currently saving for a cage and some webers. I have been tormented over having such an old car. but they stop making of me as soon as i drift passed them going down the snake (a.k.a hyw 421) the car is undergoing a full restore as well, along with a four wheel disk convertion. I am doing all this cause i saw your car in action and it inspired my to do somthing to mine. All i have to say now is thanks for everything and i hope to see what you can do with your new car. By the way if you have any tips for an upcoming drifter please tell me.

byxman,
I am honored! Thank you for your kind words.

My ex-touge machine, albeit now having a new owner, is, in a sense, still within the family. Boy, the new owner, is a good drifter that needs a good car, I believe he will be able to make good use of the TE72.

I still see the TE72 almost daily :) On another note, don't get me wrong, I am not over old school FR cars. My Starlet should be coming out in a couple of months, I shall do the same as you, and drift past many newer cars on the touge :)

Rock on!
