Team Kansei: Touge for Friendship

After starting my touge blog, I got to know the very cool touge enthusiasts at Team Kansei. We emailed each other, we watched each other's touge videos, we respect each other, in other words, we became friends through our love for the sport of touge. We also have plans to meet up :)

On Saturday (April 5th,2008), another touge friend of mine, Elaine aka Touge Princess came over for a visit with her boyfriend, Chris. I took the couple to lunch, and waited anxiously for the arrival of the Kansei members.

Touge 1:
I couldn't wait anymore, so I led the way up the Cameron Touge in the Black Knight, with Elaine and Chris in their Black Savvy. Unfortunately, it fucking rained on us:


I had 40 psi in each of my front tires, my car was sliding from one lane to another when pushed, so I had to relax and cruise... Once we reached the uphill checkpoint, the rain subsided and I took a pic:


On my way down, I saw a Waja driven by two very very cute chicks that got into an accident with a motorbike rider:


Too bad I was busy checking the victim and making sure he was alright, I forgot to take a pic of the really sexy chicks.... Damn! I called for an ambulance as well, as the victim didn't look too good and was going into shock:


After Elaine and Chris arrived, we headed home... But right after my shower, I got the call. My bro Azuri from Team Kansei has arrived, along with his crew!

Touge 2:
Elaine, Chris, and I rushed to the touge entrance to meet up with Team Kansei, and promptly led them up the Cameron Touge:


As Team Kansei had to head up to Cameron Highlands for their fresh fruits and vegetable shopping spree, we decided to part ways, and to meet up again at 10.30pm, at the uphill checkpoint, for a friendly touge run.

Touge 3:
Felix (Toyota Corolla KE20 4AGE), Boy (Toyota Corolla TE72 5k Webers), Yeap (Proton Wira 1.5 drift spec), Elaine and Chris (Proton Savvy) and I (Proton Satria Neo 1.6M) blasted up the touge at around 10:15pm to meet up with Team Kansei:

Team Kansei arrived at around 11pm, it was awesome to touge with a large group of cars:




We touged downhill, and went over to a cafe for some refreshments:




It was great to meet up with Azuri, Burn, Roger, Leroy, Mat, Kura and their very beautiful other halves :) Everyone was sharing their views/tips on driving/handling, we were having so much fun just talking :)

But talking isn't enough, we talk the talk and we walk the walk!

Touge 4 (meaning it was the fourth time I drove up this touge today!):


It was absolutely exhilarating to touge with so many skilled touge drivers. Everyone knows his limit, everyone was courteous to each other, Yeap even used point-by-pass hand signals :P! God, it was so much fun I couldn't even sleep after that...

Too bad Azuri had to work the next day... Otherwise, I was pretty sure there'd be Touge 5... LOL :D !

Thanks Team Kansei, for coming and for the wonderful touge memories you have given us, it was an unforgettable night!
